Mid-Year Tune-Up

We’re halfway through the year, which makes June a good moment to step back and sharpen the tools you reach for every day. That’s exactly where our energy went this month.

The updates we shipped are about making accessibility issues easier to understand and easier to fix – less time guessing, more time getting things done.

New Updates in AAArdvark

Here’s what’s new in the AAArdvark accessibility testing platform:

  • Fix-It Guidance for More Issues – Finding a problem is only half the job. When AAArdvark flags a failure, you get clear, plain-language guidance on what it means and how to fix it – and this month we expanded that coverage to many more failure types across our automated and manual checks. No more staring at a cryptic rule name wondering what to actually do about it.
  • See Exactly Where an Issue Lives – Some issues hide inside an iframe or a component’s shadow root, which makes them frustrating to track down. Issue cards now tell you when a flagged element sits inside an iframe or shadow root, so you can go straight to the source instead of hunting through a page that looks fine on the surface.

Coming Soon

Here’s a peek at what we’re building next:

  • PDF Scanning – Accessibility doesn’t stop at your web pages. We’re building the ability to scan PDFs for accessibility issues too, so the documents you publish get the same attention as the rest of your site. More soon.

What We’ve Been Up To

  1. New Founder Blog Post: The Accessibility Pricing Gap.
  2. Join the upcoming livestream: Live-Building Accessible Tabs – watch Natalie build an accessible tabs component from scratch, live.

Keep Rolling

A tune-up isn’t a one-time thing – it’s how you keep something running well for the long haul. We’ll keep sharpening AAArdvark so accessibility stays a natural part of how your team works, not an afterthought.

Thanks for rolling with us ✨
